Vector ranks among fastest cars

Vector Aeromotive Corp. is introducing its first production model, one of the world's fastest and most powerful exotic production sports cars, at the Auto Show.

The $250,000 Vector competes with Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini. Incorporating design and aerospace technology, the Vector is powered by a fuel-injected, all-aluminum V-8 said to generate more than 600 horsepower. The car is capable of speeds over 200 m.p.h., Vector Aeromotive said.

"The Vector is our entry into the exotic supercar market," said Gerald Wiegert, Vector designer and chairman of Wilmington, Calif.-based Vector Aeromotive.
